How did my babies get so many teeth in 3 weeks???? My how my grandtwins have grown...and my how much fun they look...I want to be on the beach with them although they may have to scoot out of town today because of the hurricane blowing through Wilmington/Camp LeJuene!!!!

I love apron swaps!

I received my Fall Sassy apron yesterday...it's so neat. I absolutely love the color and fabric...and if anyone can identify and tell me what the fabric name and manufacturer is I would be so grateful! Jennifer S...thank you, thank you, thank you...and for the Cranberry pie recipe too...love. love. love. (I sound like Rachel Zoe there).

I am also going to show the apron I made for my partner...I have never made one this style and was so excited how it turned out! I will make this one again! She should get it today.

Last month I actually won something!!!! and then I proceeded to forget that I had won ....but I got it in the mail last week... Isn't it cute? It is actually very nice and thick and much larger than I expected! and I chose preppy colors in honor of the days when I "knew" exactly what I liked...hehe. Too hot to move....

It's been so hot here ...100 degree days....I have actually been holed up in the house doing some sorting ,cleaning, and re-arranging...and I have also been doing some small projects...and looking at a few new books...and making some giftys for friends....

Made 2 each of the bibs for the twins...will make some more tonite...need to send them out tomorrow...I found an old craft book at my mom's house and it has some *new* old crafts that I want to do again... the Rainy Day Applique book is FUN and I have done a few things from it for gifts, the drinks banner is for a friend and I have done another one that I don't want to show yet BECAUSE she reads me.... I got an old desk off freecycle and it needs some creative painting, so when the temps drop down below 92...I hope to start on it (maybe in a few days!).

My 93yo grandmother was taken to hospital today...say a prayer for her...

Got to get back to blogging regularly...so much to make ...and aprons, I am making some more aprons!

....this morning, a very tiny garden....love fresh veggies and love to walk out and just pick them...silly hubby forgot to plant pumpkins and sunflowers...silly husband....

I have a ton of pics to show about all kinds of things...from grandbabies to vintage aprons to me canning (!)...BUT Blogger won't let me do pictures ....it drives me crazeeeeeee! Hope to get it fixed soon!

Vintage aprons from my MOM

A few weeks ago I stayed with my grandmother while my (grandmother care-taker) parents tooks a much needed mini vacation. My grandmother told me a few stories I have not heard before concerning me and my brother ..but that's for a later post. What I did find at my mom's house while I was doing laundry was...a pile of old clothes of my mom's that she had taken out to wash and look at....made by my great-grandmother. I have seen pics of my mom in some of the dresses...and my mom was teeny beautiful redhead, and her clothes were always figure conscious and perfectly tailored...I always thought the awesome clothes were store-bought...WRONG. My great-grandmother made them...all of them! Pictures of those to come later too...the thing I have to show right now is...my great-grandmother's aprons...we called her MOM...she always wore an apron and the pockets always had important stuff in them (like candy for me). I know there were way more aprons and I hope we can find them.
