RIP

Last week, a young woman I knew and worked with was killed by her boyfriend, not only did he take her life and that of 3 of her children (one unborn), he also took his own.  He did leave one survivor, Destiny, who is fighting for her life in the hospital (update, she is doing better, Thank you God!)  Tracy was one of the sweetest people I have ever met and she adored her children.  I have seen, been near, and helped people I know with abuse, but none have ever ended in death.  I am at such a loss as to what I think and feel, this will take some time sorting out.  Please pray for Destiny,  she has a destiny, possibly divine.  The Story

Last week  I also lost my dearly beloved Keera.  My grandbabies and Patrick and Stephanie came to spend a week with us.  Keera was really sick  the day before they came and and I realized this was her time.  I had been hoping it wouldn't come. Ever.  The most awesome vet I have ever had came to my house and helped her painlessly go to her new home (over the Rainbow Bridge).  I was with family in my house all week and yesterday was the first day I was alone and feeling the full effect of my Keera being gone.

I am SO very sorry for your sad news - it's unimaginable what Tracy's family and friends must be going through ... and Austen's family/friends must be heartbroken as well. So so sad :(

I know Jiffy and our other beloved furbabies will meet Keera at the Rainbow Bridge, and show her around. One day we'll all be reunited with our special friends - won't it be wondrous?

Karen ~ How horrible and senseless this is... and how terrible for the poor child that survived. What she'll have to go through mentally for the rest of her life is unimaginable. I know it also must be so very hard for you to deal with as well... and to loose a fur baby on top of it all. Know my thoughts are with you Karen. Take care! ((hugs))

Hello Karen,
Thanks for stopping at my blog (wanna buy a duck) and commenting. We both wrote RIP posts on the same day. This Manson-type killing is even difficult to read about and the struggle you are going through to cope with your feelings has got to be more than I or most peple could bear. I think of the loss to the community, to the friends of the little children, to the mother carrying another little heartbeat that was suddenly stopped. You have my sympathy. I'll be following your blog.

What a heartbreaking story. The poor child. Unfortunately we never 'get over' such horror; we just somehow move on.
And your beloved pet also. My heart goes out to you and I will remember you and that little girl in my prayers!
I am a new visitor and follower from Over 40 FF and hope when you get the chance you will stop by and say hello.
